De-Haven Reveals Jay-Z's Empty Promise, "He Looked Me Dead In My Face & Told Me 'I Got You'"

Former Jay-Z associate De-Haven has continued to speak out against his long-time former friend.

Haven also said Jay made an empty promise to him prior to being indicted on a federal drug charge.

"It never affected my credibility," Haven said in an interview. "I've been in the [penal] system for a minute, in and out, in and out. It ain't nothing but paper work. If they would have had something pertaining to me snitching, come on man, that would have been came out. I wasn't locked up behind him at all...I haven't tried to reach out to him [for money] for the simple fact because of the last conversation we had. The last conversation we had, we shook hands, I was in a little bit of a situation with this federal trial, and the last conversation we had, he looked me dead in my face and told me, 'Yo, don't even worry about it, I got you. You need some help, I got you.' I ain't seen him yet, and mind you, I went to trial with a court-appointed attorney."

DJ Kay Slay Explains Drake's Absence From New Album, "It Was The D*ckheads At The Record Label"

DJ Kay Slay recently spoke on Young Money's Drake not making his upcoming More Than Just A DJ compilation album despite heavy promotion of the rapper's appearance on the project last year.

According to Slay confusion at the label is to blame for Drake's absence.

"I had the record and what happened was the people at the record label was giving a hard time for clearing it," Slay explained in an interview. "But they didn't know that Baby cleared the record...[then] it was too late, I had already turned the record in. So shout-out to him, I don't have no hard feelings. Baby gave me the record, it was the d*ckheads at the record label, with the business affairs that were acting silly -- but they ain't tell me that because they didn't believe it was gonna happen so by the time I got on it, it was a little too late. So you know, it is what it is." (Champ Mag)

I mean I thought it was funny, but I didn't find it funny. He could have used something else. If your gonna' play with Buck, play with Buck, but don't play with me because he doesn't even know me like that. That's rap; you know what I'm saying? Me personally, if he was in my region... he rolls with the secret service - the media police. I ain't even entertaining that sh*t because I already know. That's how he came up; dissing real n*ggas. He already took a real n*gga name from the streets and ran with it. I don't even want to talk about that."

"I'm not doing that anymore," she revealed in an interview. "I'm not doing videos, unless it's a cameo. No magazine shoots, unless it's promoting my music. It helps, kind of, but it also became an obstacle. It's like a gift and a curse."

It's about me going in there, opening up that catalog and bringing that old music back as well as finding some new talent in the West Coast...Priority is going to be based on this West Coast movement because that's what it was centered around. State Property's Omillio Sparks has come forward to speak on the collapse of Roc-A-Fella Records and explain how it was decided which artists would go with Jay-Z or stay Damon "Dame" Dash.

According to Sparks, he sensed conflict happening internally around 2003 and 2004.

"Around the time we were about to shoot State Property 2, that's when it was like -- because we were State Property so we had the clothing line, we got the music, we doing movies -- so everybody's like, 'Yo what's up Mac?' and then I don't know what was going on with the powers that be," Sparks said in an interview. "You could just see the tension...Then we had a little drama amongst each other because we were trying to get on point with the business side, we talking with Beans and he ain't giving us no answers so now people are pissed off. We got clothing lines, we got movies, we making music, what's up? So now everybody doing business, bringing their lawyer to the table -- there wasn't even a choice [when Dame and Jay split]. There was a sheet with names on it ripped in half, one went to Jay and one went to Dame. That's what we were going with. So there was no choice.

KRS-One On Jay-Z Borrowing His Blueprint, "That's Honor, That's Respect

Rap legend KRS-One has spoken up on Jay-Z's usage of the title Blueprint on three of his recent albums and how Hov has continued to pay homage to his 1989 album, Ghetto Music: The Blueprint of Hip Hop.

According to KRS, Jay continues to represent hip-hop's growth and culture.

"You can't get mad if you say number one, you put out a record and then Jay-Z puts out one," KRS said in an interview. "That's honor, that's respect because you call yourself the teacher. If I put out the first Blueprint, and then Jay-Z decides to name his next three albums The Blueprint, you can only look at that as respect in hip-hop and it actually signifies the unity of hip-hop all together...you could compare this all the way across the board [with other rappers]. You're finally getting to see hip-hop's culture, not the rap music industry. Ask yourself this question too, with all the money that Jay-Z has, why does he still have to rap? Why does he still have to rap? He has to rap because he is hip-hop. He is the culture himself..."

Dame Dash Reveals Truth Behind Jay-Z Collapse, "He Stopped Listening To Me"

Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Damon "Dame" Dash recently discussed his falling out with Jay-Z and explained why rap marketing pioneer Steve Stoute played a role in their estranged relationship.

According to Dash, tensions began to rise with Jay during their run with Rocawear Clothing.

"It was me and Jay and the two Russians voting on every decision, and I controlled the vote, because I always had Jay's vote." The two Russians were Alex Bize and Norton Cher, old-school clothing slingers from Manhattan's garment district who ran the day-to-day operations. "But one day," Dash says, "they brought me to a hotel." He takes his time with the story, replays it daintily. It's clear that reliving the scene is as painful as it is ebulliently cathartic. "I said, 'Why are we meeting at a hotel?' and it was because they didn't want anyone to hear me yelling. That was the day they told me they didn't want [celebrity photographer] Mario Testino to shoot the ads." Instead, they were going with someone cheaper, and they were going in a different direction altogether. "Here the Russians were telling me how to cater to my people! I wanted [Rocawear] to be sold at Bergdorf Goodman's, not Dr. Jay's!" says Dash. "In the end, Steve Stoute was making money off them. Jay stopped listening to me and started listening to him." Shortly thereafter, Jay-Z made their separation formal when he bought out Dash's stake in Rocawear for $30 million.

Omillio Sparks Says Beanie Sigel Should Blame Himself For Jay-Z Conflict, "You Brought That On Yourself" [Video]

State Property's Omillion Sparks has spoken up for Jay-Z in light of recent disses made against him by Beanie Sigel.
Click here to find out more!

From Sparks' perspective, Beans could have decided to not re-sign with Jay if there were issues taking place behind closed doors.

"I think it's personal family business," Sparks told DJ Vlad. "Even after all that was said and done, I think [Beans] went to jail, came back and signed a contract again. So if you were already feeling some type of way about what was going on, you should have just been on your joint like 'All right I'm out,' but he came back and re-signed, you brought that on yourself. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me, right? So you come back and something don't go right, now you're mad so I'll just let them feud. It's some personal beef, we'll see the outcome of it later on."

UPDATE: Keyshia Cole Addresses Engagement & Pregnancy Reports, "My Plate Is Very Full"

R&B singer Keyshia Cole has released a statement confirming her speculated pregnancy and engagement to NBA basketball player Daniel Gibson.

In the statement, Cole also warns fans of her distance from certain family members.

"To all my friends and fans - It's time that I clear the air," she wrote in a statement. "It's not a secret that I haven't been in contact with my mother Frankie, and my sisters Neffe and Elite and I never wanted to air out our differences to the public. While I won't go into detail here I find it necessary to let you guys know I decided to stop communication with them because I was at a point in my life where I needed serenity and peace to move forward. Please know I love my family very much but it was time to let it go. You guys are a witness to a lot of what was happening from watching on air and online. Now that I am becoming a mom my passion for having a loving and peaceful home for my child is my #1 priority. It's very important to both Daniel and I. My plate is very full; I have a new baby coming, we are planning our wedding and I am working in the studio on a new album that I am close to completing. The stress that my family is giving me with their constant false reports is not healthy and it's not what I need at this time in my life. Please understand that there are only a few people that can officially confirm or deny anything that's happening in my life and that's me, Daniel, and my publicist, Tresa Sanders. And my girl Monica never lies.
