Slain Rapper Dolla's Mother Speaks On Debut, "They Say It's Awesome"
Late rapper Roderick "Dolla" Burton's mother has spoken on her son's legacy and how plans have been placed in motion to have his debut album released on Akon's Konvict Music label.
While admitting she was never too close to his content, Dawnee Robinson said her son was on the road to stardom.
"I've never been allowed to hear his music until a few days before release, so with that being said, from the critics around me they say it's awesome," Dawnee said in an interview. "It's gonna set him aside, it's totally different than anything he's done in the past. So we're working with Konvict and Bu (Akon's brother) and out of respect for me they've pretty much allowed me to give them the thumbs up on when they can go ahead with the project. They're always supportive. We've known Akon, Omar and Bu for many years and the sky's the limit with those guys. They're always looking out." (Hip Hop Wired)
this was a very senseless and violent crime but it is very sad for his mother and his family and these killing need to be stopped and rest in peace dolla and you will be missed.
