Panther Club Helps Purchase Ticket Booth At Competition Field

Last week, Panther Club President Dennis Lind '88 and Vice President Sue Tendy '70 along with several committee members had a chance to visit the new Panther Club ticket booth located at the entrance of Compeitition Field.

The Panther Club, which is Adelphi Athletics primary friend-raising and fund-raising entity, helped to purchase the new booth which enhances the look of the entrance to the field. It provides heat and a/c for the ticket workers as well as an area to sell merchandise and store equipment. The booth was also enhanced with a custom made shrink wrap with action shots of Adelphi student-athletes as well as recognition of the Panther Club's efforts.

"The abilty of the Panther Club to meet current needs of Adelphi Athletics through initiatives like the new ticket booth is a testament to our many members, said Lind. "We look forward to other significant contributions in the near future."

The Panther Club is supported by students, alumni, parents and the community, all with the same goal of promoting Adelphi Athletics. Members can give an unrestricted donation, which can be used as its most needed by the department; split their gift; or give to a sport team. It was funds from unrestricted giving that allowed the Panther Club to purchase the ticket booth for the department.

By branding the ticket booth with the Panther Club logo, it also helps to promote the club's message and to reach out to as many supporters as possible.
